Thinking back I would have to say it was around 1992 that I bought
the Oldsmobile. After having had a accident which totaled my Pontiac
6000, I found myself driving this car which was almost the same car
in terms of body style and engine. As a matter of fact, about the only
difference in the body of the two cars was the front and rear fascias.
I had my share of problems with this car and spent a good deal of
green on repairs during my ownership. When I eventually traded her in
for the Grand Marquis the dealership even remarked about the stack
of repair receipts in the glove box (not limited to a new engine!).
Even with all the repairs though I stilled enjoyed driving this
car. She had power windows and locks, power drivers seat, tilt wheel
and a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine. The front seat was a 60/40 split
bench with the arm rest integrated into the drivers portion. She also
had A/C but unfortunately that never worked. The cost to have repaired
was more than I was willing to spent back then.
Below I dug up some pictures of the Ciera. As I recall these
pictures were take shortly after I bought her.
